Wasting away.

I think that it IS VERY fair about that there is a fine for over fishing because if people catch to many fish , soon there will not be enough fish left for other people. If people catch a little bit of fish it is all good but too much is very bad. What do you think pls reply in the comments.

  1. Hi Joshua,

I'm Leslie and I'm reading your blog from my home in Canada where the only fishing done right now is 'ice fishing'. That means that people cut a hole in the ice on a lake, put up a little shelter (a wooden shack or a tent), and put their fishing line into the water. Is that hard for you to imagine, living in a city that doesn't have a deep-cold winter?

I'm a member of the Summer Learning Journey team and so I have the fun of reading your blog each day.

I agree with you that over-fishing is a real problem. It results in there not being enough fish both for people and for the other creatures that also have a fish diet, such as shore birds. It's too bad that we have to put laws into place to prevent people from damaging an environment. It would be much 'easier' if everyone treated the earth with great respect and with an attitude of sharing, wouldn't it? Fortunately, most people do. But we have to have laws in place to prevent some from doing too much damage.

You're going a great job of your activities. I hope you'll keep up your efforts!!

    Cheers,

    Leslie
