My home town

I live in a amazing suburb called new Windsor. I live very close to Wesley Intermediate. It is just a ten minute bike ride to get there so it is pretty short. It is a one minute walk up to New Windsor school.  and they are some wonderful trees in my garden I live close to three of my top five list of friends my BFF is moving away so I am a bit annoyed about that. Around my big house is loads of green scenery.

  1. Morena Josh,

Congratulations on starting your Summer Learning Journey with a bang. You have been busy over the last few days. I just wanted to apolgise for the problem we are having with the Ako Hiko twitter feed but it sounds like it is up and running now. We have had about 150 posts from the Ako Hiko cluster so far, I am not suprised the twitter feed had a bit of a tantrum. I just wanted to reassure you that I can see your posts coming through in a programme I have called Feedly. This helps me follow all the students in Ako Hiko and I get a notification much like an email.

Thank you for sharing a description of your hometown. What a luxury you have living so close to both your old, and your new school. I would have to travel for half an hour in a car to get to my school each day. I always wished I lived close to school so that I could walk or bike. How amazing is it that you are surrounded in greenery in the middle of Auckland. This is one aspect of Auckland that I love so much, is that you can feel like you are a million miles away from a city, due the greenery we have on our back doorstep.

I also have a back yard that is covered in greenery. We live on the edge of a native bush in South Auckland. My son, Nico, and I, jump the fence and it feels like we are in a beautiful forest miles away from any city. We have singing tuis, plump kererus, colorful parakeets, and cheeky fantails constantly visiting our backyard.

I cannot wait to follow your journey this summer.

I hope you are enjoying your holidays,
    Megan :)
