Similarities and differences.

I have chosen the corpse flower and the pitcher plant

The differences.
The corpse flower only comes once every forty years. the pitcher plant comes very often.

The picture plant is a nice smell. The corpse flower is a very bad smell.

The picture plant is 4.9 meters tall but the corpse flower is 8.2 meters tall

The similarities.

They both come from south east Asia.
They both eat fly's.
They are both plants
They both have more then one type

    It's Leslie here, writing to you from my home in Canada as a member of the Summer Learning Journey team.

    You've chosen to study 2 really interesting plants!! It's hard to believe that plants can be carnivores, isn't it? "Eating" insects, as a plant, seems so hard to imagine! But it's true! We have Pitcher plants in Canada as well. They're found in wetland/bog areas and they look a little different than the ones found in Southeast Asia. They do the same thing, however, in attracting and consuming insects. Amazing!!

    Have you ever been to Asia? I haven't. I think it would be fascinating to see a Corpse flower, so rare and so huge!!! Would you be interested in travelling to see one some day?

    You've done a good job of listing the similarities and the differences between these 2 plants. Well done!!
